The DP-D series high-performance power supply was engineered from the ground up for demanding laboratory and industrial applications and is capable of 24/7 continuous operation, completely maintenance-free. This industrial grade power supply can be configured with a variety of options to suit almost any application. Whether as a stand alone device or as part of an existing infrastructure, controlled externally through one of the digital interfaces or analog connections, it delivers highest performance.
Advantages of the DP-D Series High-Performance Power Supply:
– 19 inch rack-mount or stand-alone rack cabinet (Check the “Additional Information” tab for information about this specific model)
– Models up to 1500V output voltage provide a potential free output
– Optional remote measuring connection for compensation of line losses
– Constant voltage source (CV), constant current source (CC) and optionally constant power (CP) operation
– Optional digital connections RS485 with Modbus RTU support or RS232
– Optional external analog control inputs for voltage, current and power (0 … 5V / 0 … 10V / 4 … 20mA)
– Optional analog feedback for voltage, current and power (0 … 5V / 0 … 10V / 4 … 20mA)
– Optional polarity switching functionality which allows to reverse the polarity during operation within less than 50ms
– Optional active reverse current protection for large inductive loads
– Very short command response time of less than 50ms
Options
The following is a brief description of additional options for the high-performance power supply of the DP-D series. A detailed description can be found in the datasheet of the series, should you have any questions please contact our support during our opening hours via the live chat or by e-mail and we will gladly assist you.
[Z1] Power Cable (Accessory)
If selected, the power supply is shipped with a 2m power cable.
[Z2] Rack-Mount Brackets (Accessory)
If selected, the power supply is shipped with 19″ rack-mount brackets plus the standard rubber feet mounted and either of those can be easily removed by the customer if not required. This option is not available for models manufactured in the stand-alone rack cabinet with ≥ 10kW output power. Please check the datasheet for more information on the cabinet sizes.
[U] Ext. analog control U
A control input connection allowing to control the output voltage value externally, available in different versions for different control systems (0 … 5V / 0 … 10V / 4 … 20mA).
[L] Ext. analog control I
A control input connection allowing to control the output current value externally, available in different versions for different control systems (0 … 5V / 0 … 10V / 4 … 20mA).
[P] Ext. analog control P
A control input connection allowing to control the output power value externally, available in different versions for different control systems (0 … 5V / 0 … 10V / 4 … 20mA).
Note that the option [K] is a dependency of this option and is required for this option to work.
[F] Ext. analog feedback U
A feedback output connection allowing to read the actual output voltage value externally, available in different versions for different control systems (0 … 5V / 0 … 10V / 4 … 20mA).
[G] Ext. analog feedback I
A feedback output connection allowing to read the actual output current value externally, available in different versions for different control systems (0 … 5V / 0 … 10V / 4 … 20mA).
[H] Ext. analog feedback P
A feedback output connection allowing to read the actual output power value externally, available in different versions for different control systems (0 … 5V / 0 … 10V / 4 … 20mA).
Note that the option [K] is a dependency of this option and is required for this option to work.
[A] Remote Output Interlock
Allowing to control the status of the output power on/off remotely, designed as an open/closed loop (open = output off / closed = output on).
[D] Digital connection
Digital connection enabling the user to read and change the values of preset and actual output parameters.
[R] Reverse current protection
Reverse current protection enables the power supply to safely operate with highly capacitive or inductive loads. Simplified, a passive protection can be compared with a diode in series with the output connection while the active protection is more complex allowing to convert reverse currents into heat internally thus is not compatible with capacitive loads.
[K] Constant power mode
Allows the setting of an output power limit (CP mode) in addition to voltage and current limits (CV mode / CC mode)
[V] Polarity switch
Polarity switching functionality which allows to reverse the polarity during operation within less than 50ms and is controlled via the selected digital connection or a switch if no [D] option is selected
[S] Remote Sensing
Allows measuring of the output voltage at the load to compensate line losses
